The University will have a certain number of dormitories available for students. In some cases, it may even be mandatory for freshmen to stay in the dorms and then your search for a cheap apartment in Austin Texas would end right there. Plus, dorms are not what they used to be. They are clean and comfortable, with places for students to study and hang out and frankly, they are supposed to be better for a student since they give a sense of community and a chance to interact with other students in the university.

Fraternities and Sororities

Today, fraternities and sororities are not what they once were. The typical image that people have is that the sororities are a bunch of snobish girls who look down their noses at everyone else and think they are God’s gift to womandom and the fraternities are places for drunkeness and toga parties. While both of these things can happen at fraternities and sororities, would you believe that most Greek campus organizations also foster a sense of community, requiring their membership to actively engage in the community and to do acts of charity in the community surrounding campus? They also often have lectures in the house and some of them even arrange study partners for their members.

Off Campus Housing

If you choose to go with cheap apartments for rent which are not on the campus in Austin, Texas, then you should make sure of several things. You should make sure that the apartments are within a comfortable commuting distance from the school so that your child will be able to get to classes easily and you should make sure that the place is a safe neighborhood. No matter how cheap an apartment is, you don’t want to head to Austin for a funeral, God forbid.

At a mental institution not far away, Billy Lenz is being served his Christmas dinner. He is locked away, rocking back and fourth in his rocking chair, safely in his cell that is decorated with Christmas lights. The orderly serving the food gets a scare from a volunteer dressed as Santa who is looking for the children’s ward. Security guard J. Bailey makes jokes to the orderly about Billy trying to escape every year. The orderly and Santa walk away, leaving the security guard alone in the hall. Billy opens the small window on his cell and places a present wrapped in newspaper on the ledge for the security guard. The security guard opens it to find nothing that interesting, except on the newspaper is written “I’ll be home for Christmas.” The security guard looks into the cell to find it empty and Billy’s chair rocking back and fourth. He quickly opens the cell and goes inside, to find a hole in the wall. He takes his flashlight and looks into the hole, as Billy comes from under the bed and stabs him in the neck with a candy cane. Billy leaves the cell and kills the man dressed as Santa. He steals his outfit, stuffs his body in a bag, and leaves the institution, dumping the bag in the dumpster with the man’s hand sticking out from the bag.

Outside of the sorority house Kelli Presley and her boyfriend Kyle Autry are talking in his car. She tells him that she is going to spend Christmas with her roommates but that she will make it up to him. He is disappointed because this is their first Christmas together. She kisses him goodbye and goes inside the house. As she does her fellow sorority sister Megan Helms calls Kyle on his cell phone. Meanwhile, Megan is in her room, watching an old home made porn movie that features her and Kyle. Kyle hangs up the phone.

Kelli goes inside and greets everyone, including Melissa Kitt, her best friend. Heather Lee, Dana Mathis, Lauren Hannon and Ms. MacHenry, the house mother who loves all of the girls and accepts their flaws.

There is an interesting little known phenomenon coming straight out of Columbia Missouri, directly from the University of Missouri also known as Mizzou. All you need to do is walk around the campus (or off for that matter) to realize that many girls seem to be wearing a similar hairstyle. This new hairstyle was most likely developed from humble beginnings such as a few sorority sisters in search of a new look to call there own. It is likely that those girls went out one evening and the response was overwhelming with rave reviews. You can only imagine the envy developing by all the other girls sporting plastered down, flat, flat ironed, boring & tired looking hair. Thus a trend begins! Recently, a few named the ever so popular look the “Mizzou Do”. Oh! I must not forget that if you choose to pull the “Mizzou Do” into a ponytail it is then called the “Missoura Puff”.

This summer the “Mizzou Do” is gaining popularity outside of Columbia Missouri as those trend setting girls return back to their respective towns for the summer break & FUN! As recent as Tuesday evening a few girls gathered in St. Louis for a little “Mizzou Do Bathroom Party”. This was not just any party but one where you go to socialize with friends armed with your Big Sexy Flip It Over, Big Sexy Hair Spray and Play Harder, Multiple Teasing Combs, beloved Bobbie Pins and a Camera. As I am certain you can imagine this hot new do requires a pro to teach the technique. Why? Because these young ladies are not necessarily familiar with the fine art of teasing hair which happens to be the fundamental base of the new “Mizzou Do” hairstyle. It is was said by a couple of the young ladies that teasing with a large hair pic will offer you huge volume although if you choose a smaller comb you may want to tease all the way from the beginning of your hair shaft to the full length of your hair to not only give you volume but to assist in keeping your Bobbie Pins in place.
That’s enough of my chatter and on to the process on how to create the “Mizzou Do”.

1. Take your Rattail comb and create a hair triangle. Begin on the sides of you head about one and a half inches above your ears extending and completing the triangle a smidge beyond your crown.

2. Spray liberally with “Big Sexy Flip it Over” at the roots of the only the hair on the top four inches of the triangle all the way back to the crown. Tease like crazy then Spray teasing with Big Sexy Spray.

3. Smooth the teasing down just slightly and gather up the triangle bringing it all together gently at the back of your crown. Roll all ends under and push your hair forward about one half inch which should leave you with something that looks like a teased POOF on top of your head although mostly pronounced towards the back of your crown.

4. Use those trusty little Bobbie Pins to hold that Roll (the ends of your hair) in place. **A very skilled Mizzou Do girl will make sure all those Bobbie Pins are well hidden.Mizzou Do

Now…Spray like crazy because gravity is not your friend with this hairstyle.

With just a little practice you should be perfectly coiffed and ready to hit the town. Don’t forget to sport a dress with your new hair as the “Mizzou Do” is best complimented with a casual dress. It is rumored that those Mizzou girls love there dresses too.

Spring Break 2010 preparations are already underway. College students across the country are getting together to vote on and/or discuss where they want to go. This includes fraternities, sororities, and smaller groups at various universities across the U.S. and abroad.

Spring Break 2010 is shaping up to be the biggest ever according to many college spring break travel agencies across the country. According to Island Travel Promotions, one of the largest student tour operators in the U.S, almost 25% of the hotels included with their spring break packages have already been booked out as of July 27th, 2009. This is largely due to the fact that fraternities and sororities often book 150 or more people for the same week. Transportation to the destinations are also starting to fill up since the students are typically booking a cruise/hotel or flight/hotel package all at one time.

Back in the 80’s and early 90’s most students would plan and book their spring break trip in late January. Those days are over. College students now realize that if they want the best hotels and locations, they must book very early. Also, fraternities and sororities realize that if they want to put 150 – 350 people at the same hotel…they must book 9 to 12 months in advance each year.

A Bahamas cruise and hotel package can often cost the same as a Panama City or Daytona Beach trip. The rising rates at hotels in Florida and current gas prices has caused most college students to consider other options. A cruise is often more fun than flying and much cheaper. The party starts when you board the ship when cruising. The party starts when you check in at the hotel if you choose a flight package. Also, cruising offers so much more. Many ships have a casino, shops, pools, a stage show, dance clubs, and more.

The Bahamas been the spring break destination of choice for the past three years. Price has become the main factor for most students and The Bahamas gives them the biggest bang for their buck. Parents love it because it’s just off the coast of Florida. College students love it because it’s the cheapest way to experience a tropical island destination. The water is gorgeous, the sand is white, and the weather is perfect all year long.

Many spring break travel agencies offer incentives for booking early. This can include a reduced rate, free summer trips, and special group incentive programs that reward you if you book a minimum number of people.

All-inclusive vacations are popular among college students. Most students don’t want to worry about how much spending money they will need for food, drinks, and activities. When you are browsing through the different packages, look for an “all-inclusive option”. Please keep in mind that these packages will seem more costly but will often save you money in the long run.

Early planning and preparation is the key when it comes to booking spring break trips. Do your research and find the best package for you and your friends.

I’ve been teaching guys to be more successful with women for years. You may have heard me on the radio or read about me in the papers. I’ve toured colleges around the country and consistently help college guys meet college women. A huge topic is sorority girls, so let’s get right into it.

Sorority girls are a different breed of college women. They have strict social norms that they have to follow. Most sororities, especially the ones with the hot girls, have certain “paired fraternities.” Sorority girls are pressured into dating only the guys in these paired fraternities. To understand this, you need to understand how a greek system is organized.

Like any society, there are certain classes of people. There are the “hot” fraternities/sororities (all the way up the ladder) and the “not so cool” fraternities/sororities (all the way down the ladder). Then there are the ones in the middle. This is just like a caste system. Girls on top of the ladder are pressured into dating the guys at the top of the ladder, otherwise they might be laughed at and their reputation might be damaged. Girls in the middle of the ladder aren’t pressured to date any particular type of guy.  Girls in the bottom of the ladder shouldn’t be dated at all. 

Understanding this psychology will help you tailor your approach. First, let’s talk about what to do if your girl is in the highest social class.

Highest Social Class
The best way to make these girls your girlfriend is to join their “partner” fraternity. Once you’re in their partner fraternity, you will need to use the methods in the College Guide To Dating e-book to attract her and escalate the relationship physically.

The more common case is that you are NOT in their partner frat and you don’t have any intention of joining it.  In this case, use the techniques in the college guide to create a strong bond between with a brother of the partner frat. Your friend will know about the sorority parties your girl will be at, and he will invite you to them. Usually, brother and sister sororities don’t invite “outsiders” to their parties. Just being at the party will communicate to your girl that you ARE worthy of dating, after all you’re on the “inside.’

You’ve accomplished the first big step, you’re on the inside. Most of the time this will be enough to continue with the meet, attract, escalate model in the book. Sometimes you might run into a question along the lines of “so how do you like being in this fraternity.” In this case you have two choices. You can either lie to her or you can tell her the truth. If you want to date her, lying to her will damage your relationship in the long run. Instead, use a line that will make her O.K. with the fact that you’re not in the fraternity. “These guys are my absolute BEST friends. They would do anything for me and I would do anything for them. You know, ever since I was young I knew how important it was to surround yourself with great people. These guys are exactly that. I’m the brother that never even had to pledge cause we are JUST THAT CLOSE (follow up with a qualification question).” *More on qualification in the book. This will communicate to her that you aren’t in the frat but are “IN” and are O.K. to date. 

The Middle Class Sorority
Dating the middle class sorority girl is easier. She has way less social pressure to date a particular type of guy. They do have “partner” fraternities but are not “required” to date them. I still recommend making friends with a brother of the partner frat. This way you will be invited to the sorority parties. These girls are totally approachable in class and randomly during the day or night. Just use the methods we talk about in the book.

In summary, sorority girls are regular girls who sometimes have social norms they need to follow. As long as you know about these norms, you can plan ahead and get on the “inside”. The biggest problem is that the show currently has very little in the way of momentum. The cast is still way too big, and the story is still too spread out. The writers would be much better served to gut the cast, streamline the story, and find a way to give the overall series a rousing climax. Instead, the pace is slower than itâ??s been in a very long time. I still like a lot of things about this show, but it continues to be one of the most frustrating.

So, Hiro sets up a magic show for fellow patients. He uses his power to stop time, so that Emma can fully grasp just what his power is. She plays along with Hiro’s “disappearing” act, and Hiro explains that there are no bad powers. He tells Emma to try and understand the power to do good things. In this case, Hiro has made a room full of sick people happy, something Emma is able to do later with her piano playing. Mission accomplished.

In this episode of Heroes, Claire and Gretchen get involved with sorority rush and, like, totally make out. Meanwhile, Peter and Emma make a deeper connection after he saves her from a near-death accident, unintentionally absorbing her power in the process. And as Samuel sets out to find a new family member, the newly resurrected Sylar takes a trip downtown with a Baltimore cop (Ernie Hudson). Unfortunately for Sylar, he has no idea who he is, but when it starts to become clear, he becomes a fugitive once more. And all fugitives love Ferris wheels! How does Sylar end up at the circus? Let’s find out.

As much as I appreciated the previous episode, this one left me wondering if thereâ??s much momentum to this season at all. Certain lessons from the past seem to have been forgotten once again, and other plot threads seem to have meandered before the initial conditions could be adequately explored.

Um…..wasn’t Johnny Depp’s Jack Sparrow character a “young Keith Richards”?  This should be very interesting then.  I’m not worried though.  Knepper is awesome, especially when he’s deliciously evil. Even “Heroes” is taking a Halloween theme next week. Claire and Gretchen are being hazed by their new sorority sisters but they quickly realize that it is not just a game when during the scavenger hunt, it is possible to die.

Elsewhere, Sam is attempting to clean Sylar’s memory by helping him to retrieve his. Matt goes to extreme measures to extinguish Sylar, who continues to torment him. Meanwhile, H.R.G. calls in a favor from Tracy to save a troubled young boy whose misfortunes resemble her own.

“Strange Attractors” is scheduled to air on Monday, October 26. On another news, Executive Producer Adam Armus has just confirmed to Sci Fi Wire that a major character is indeed going to die this season and it will be a ‘he’. “We always pull surprises on Heroes. That’s all I have to say. It is an epic battle. It’s an epic struggle between two very well-loved characters, and it’s going to be really compelling,” Armus elaborated.

So far this season, the writers seem to be struggling. Theyâ??ve made a few very good choices that should have helped to eliminate many of the missteps of the third season: they introduced a compelling new group of characters, and they reduced the number of plot threads captured in a single episode. On the other hand, they still insist on focusing on the same old cast of characters, and as a result, there is a feeling that the story has been there and don that already.
